Variable Data Printing (VDP)

MyIWN utilizes digital color web presses equipped with variable data printing technology to print both it's quarterly newspaper and companion DVD insert (both box and disc label). Traditional magazine and newspaper publishers produce publications using offset printing, which produces a static one-size-fits-all printed piece. With VDP, MyIWN can provide a truly personalized newspaper.

What is Variable Data Printing? (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Variable Data Printing or VDP (also known as Variable Information Printing, or VIP) is a form of on-demand printing in which elements such as text, graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next without stopping or slowing down the press, using information from a database or external file. For example, a set of personalized letters, each with the same basic layout, can be printed with a different name and address on each letter. Variable data printing is mainly used for direct marketing, customer relationship management and advertising.

Samsung Giorgio Armani Luxury PhoneGiorgio Armani and Samsung Debut Luxury Mobile Phone

The Giorgio Armani–Samsung luxury mobile phone was unveiled during Milan Women’s Fashion Week on Monday 24th September, on the same day of Giorgio Armani’s signature collection debut.

Portable products will be designed for signature Giorgio Armani and fashion-forward Emporio Armani labels, home electronics devices will be become part of the Armani/Casa home interiors lifestyle collection.

The new products will be distributed in upscale consumer electronics stores and through Giorgio Armani’s direct controlled retail network.

Saatchi UK PRSaatchi and Saatchi UK Releases "Lady Geek" Study

Saatchi & Saatchi UK released a report "Lady Geek" outlining the disconnect women have with electronics retailers and how advertising lacks any relevancy when it comes to speaking directly to them. Highlights of the survey include:

  • Thirty-five per cent of female internet users polled said they would increase their spending on consumer electronics if marketers and retailers thought harder about how they approach them and offered more guidance in stores and on e-commerce sites.
  • A staggering one in two women said they walk out of shops and leave websites without buying anything because they’re unable to find what they want, representing a huge opportunity for brand owners and retailers who are prepared to rethink their approach.
  • One third of women do not feel confident enough to ask questions in stores with one respondent describing electronics retailers as reeking of a “strong scent of man”.
  • Almost one in three women do not consider technology advertising relevant to them and the majority of women feel disillusioned that brand owners and retailers don’t understand what they care about and don’t view them as a relevant group of customers.
